Field Worker Guide
In IronSight, a field worker is the person out in the field completing jobs, such as a truck driver, operator, or crew member. This guide covers everything you need to use IronSight, from downloading the app to completing your first job.
What's in this guide
Downloading the App - Get the IronSight app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and set your password from your "Welcome to IronSight" email.
Setting Up Permissions - Allow location, motion & fitness (called physical activity on Android), notifications, and photos so the app can track your jobs, keep you updated, and let you add attachments.
Logging In and Resetting Your Password (Desktop and Mobile) - Log in on the IronSight website or mobile app, and reset your password if you've forgotten it or your invite has expired.
Location Tracking and Going On/Off Duty - Go on duty with your resource to start your day, learn when and why your location is tracked, and go off duty and log out at the end of your shift.
Starting and Completing Your Jobs - See your jobs sorted into groups for today, the future, and ones you've requested or follow. Open a job, review the details, tap Start, and slide Complete when the work is done.
Confirming Pickups and Drop-offs - On some jobs, confirm each pickup and drop-off when you arrive, or update it if you've been sent somewhere else.
Locations - Tap any location on a job to see directions, GPS coordinates, and site details, so you always get to the right place.
Forms - Fill out forms required for a job, add extra forms to a job, or submit a form on its own, like a Hazard ID.
Line Items - Add the products and services used on a job, along with quantities, before it's submitted for approval.
Notifications and Alerts - Find out which job updates you'll be notified about, such as new jobs, schedule changes, and comments.
Working Outside Cell Service - Keep working when you lose signal. Your updates save on your phone and sync once you're back in service.
